Pink Lemonade

This is one of many fabulous make-and-takes we have done at Taste of Stamping (join me for the next one on August 4th!). Tart n' Tangy is featured on this refreshing Pink Lemonade card.

Stamp Sets: Tart n' Tangy, Cheers to You (greeting only)
Color Combo: Regal Rose, Rose Red, So Saffron, Whisper White, Vellum
Accessories: Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Chunky Glitter

Basic Instructions:

• Take a piece of 3" x 3 1/2" (3" being the height) Vellum card stock and score from top to bottom on both left and right sides, 3/16" in from the side of the top and 1/2" in from the side of the bottom.
• Fold under to get your 'glass' more narrow at the bottom.
• Sponge Regal Rose on the inside of the 'glass'
• Stamp and punch or cut out lemons with So Saffron ink and adhere to inside of 'glass'.
• Add glitter to the top of the 'glass' to resemble a sugar rim.
• Use Sticky Tape to adhere 'glass' to your card stock.

Copy, Copy, Copy!

I hear a lot of people say that they aren't creative and can't come up with ideas. Fortunately there are so many ideas out there already that you don't have too! Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book & Catalog is a great place to start. Copy a project directly from the book, or alter it to suit your taste or your supplies. Here are two perfect examples made by Kim Allen:

Out of the Box is a Level One hostess set. This card was pretty much copied exactly except the greeting was changed and a silver brad was omitted. Book a workshop with me and earn this stamp set for free! Here is the original:
The sample below was shown as a pillow box in the SU catalog. Kim took the idea and created a card.

Below is the original. 'Chic Boutique' is the name of the stamp set. Kim did a great job altering this project! So, copy from the catalog, copy me, copy from others! It's a compliment!

Create Your Own Whiteboard

Use your creativity to make a decorative whiteboard for yourself or to give as a gift.

Supplies:
6 x 6 glazed tile
Autumn Harvest Rub-Ons
Plate Stand
Dry-Erase Marker

Make sure your tile is clean and dry. Chose the Rub-On you would like to use and cut it out. Place and adhere Rub-On to tile. Project complete!

In-Color Watercoloring

Rich Razzleberry is a great color to use in water coloring. Using an Aquapainter on water color paper allows you to achieve the beautiful lights and darks of this color. Make sure to wet the surface of the watercolor paper before adding color.

This cute fence was made using the Scallop Edge Punch. Simply punch your card stock and score between the scallops. Add a wood grain by dragging a sponge (with same or similar color ink) in the direction you want the grain.

Try It! - Bleaching Technique

Experiment with this fun technique! I say experiment because the effect you will get depends on the color card stock you use. You may get a white image, a lighter image, or a different color image.

1. Place a paper towel on a plate.
2. Saturate with a 10% bleach solution.
3. Use your bleach palette like an ink pad.
   

Jen Austin created the above card using the stamp set Upsy Daisy. She stamped her image onto Crushed Curry card stock and got a really nice subtle look.
