Holiday Gift Tags

I made these Holiday gift tags in minutes using the stamp set 'Winter Post' from the Holiday mini. I love how stamping gives me instant gratification!

I used the word window punch to clip my corners and sponged the edges with Close to Cocoa. Ink pads used on this project were Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze.

Another Cocoa Mug

I had so much fun making the first mug that I had to make another design. This one features 'Season of Joy' stamp set, Riding Hood Red ink, and matching Riding Hood Red ribbon of course! I love the simplicity of this design.

Gift Idea

Isn't this a cute little gift idea? This little cardstock mug is perfect for adding a package of cocoa and a candy cane or cider and a cinnamon stick! It's very easy (you know I love easy!) to put together.
Start with a 4 1/4" x 10" piece of cardstock folded in half. I recommend scoring for a nice crease. The handle is a 1 1/2" x 4" piece with a 3/4" x 2 1/2" notch out of it. I used Stampin' Up's grid paper and a ruler to mark the notch and cut it out by hand with scissors. It's a good idea if you are going to make more than one of these to keep a handle template so you don't have to measure each time. Round corners with SU's 3/16" corner rounder. Cut a small oval out of the front layer only (I used the Coluzzle to do this). Glue your handle to the inside and stamp as desired. I used Crystal Effects to glue everything down so I know it won't pop apart. Be sure to glue close to the edges so you have room for your cocoa packet.
Ingredients: Best Wishes and More, Whisper White Cardstock, Baja Breeze and Pacific Point Ink pads.

Made With Punches

You can create lots of fun things with your punches. I used the tag punch to make this fence. Start by cutting 1 1/4" strips of Close to Cocoa cardstock. Feed the strip through the slot in your punch and pull it up through the tag shaped hole until most of your strip is coming out of the hole. Center the cardstock and punch to create an extra long tag or a fence picket! Sponge on Close to Cocoa ink using a dragging method to give a more realistic look to your fence. You can measure each one and cut them so they are the same length, or line them up on your card and cut off the excess.

The stamp set used is 'A Little Birdie'. I just love all the greetings that come with this set! I used a technique called paper piecing to make the bird polka dotted. Simply stamp the image onto Designer Series Paper, cut out and adhere to stamped image on your card.
